Prompted by the brand’s past, the distinctive Madame Grès fragrance pays tribute to the Grès couture house’s founder with a historical aesthetic. Both Ancient Greece and sculptures served as inspirations for the haute couture pieces created by Alix Grès, who is regarded as a forerunner of today’s minimalist movement.
Madame Grès always designed her dresses as if she were a sculptor, shaping the fabric directly on the models to form beautiful dresses inspired by classical Grecian draping and flowing lines.
