Returning from a trip to India where she discovered a new world of scents, Alix Grès decided to launch a perfume in 1959.
After strolling along the sandy beaches and sensing the surrounding nature and aromas, she returned to Paris with an array of exotic impressions deeply imprinted on her mind and heart.
She used these memories to create a perfume that would reflect her own personality. A fragrance with a seductive chypre accord and a bold name meaning stubborn that encapsulated Madame Grès’ personality in a bottle and represented all headstrong women who were ‘caboche’ themselves.
